Sorry Folks, I Could Not Do It

Sorry Folks, I Could Not Do It

Talk about epic fail, but trying to move Hoofbeat Online to another platform was an epic fail!

Two weeks in, I realised more than ever before what it was that made me leave that place in the first place.

  1. The editor - that is a personal thing for me as an author. A great editor is like finding the perfect pen. Once you have it all other pens suck! Same with an editor, and I really hate that other one from the bottom of my heart!
  2. The news letter - a newsletter should be pretty and inviting to read. Sending out newsletters that myself hate reading when seeing them on my phone cannot be good for business so no, that is a no go.
  3. The member levels - having completely free "members only" features is like key to me. Not everybody have the money to pay for monthly subscriptions. But a little bit of give and take never hurt anybody. You sign up for a website membership for free and you'll get a little bit of extra. It is that simple.

People who know me up close and personal know I basically never use the word hate in any kind of context, not even when talking about eight legged freaks...

So here I am, feeling all confused and a bit embarrassed. Then I thought about the person at my work who yesterday sent out a secret message in a group app for everybody to read! Which of course included the ONE person that shouldn't read it = our CEO.

Even though laughing 20 minutes straight over this I do feel for the person who did such an epic mistake and ruined a surprise. But then again sometimes people do make mistakes and that is what makes us human. I did mine, I owe up to it and am so sorry for any inconvenience and or confusion.
