Promising Foals by Verbier and Seraphin
The two sire newcomers Verbier and Seraphin from the Dressage Horse Performance Centre Lodbergen (DLZ) were completely convincing with their first foals. The Oldenburg evaluation committee was correspondingly enthusiastic at the offspring evaluation, which took place as part of the annual foal show in Lodbergen/Germany and was, as always, very well attended.
'Long-legged foals with outstanding movements, with plenty of thrust and load capacity in the hind quarters and very good forehand mechanics,' was the breeding judges' comment on the offspring of the champion stallion Verbier, who had previously won the 50. 000 prize winner Very Hip (breeder: Fred Bartels) at the Vechta Foal Auction and the reserve champion filly (breeder: Helmut Kleen) at the Oldenburg Championships. The three top-ranked foals in the post-breeding evaluation were singled out as elite foals and also received an auction licence.

The foals by the highly talented Seraphin also impressed with 'correct and powerful feet and legs, lots of mechanics and good self-carriage'. The winning colt was honoured with the coveted elite title, the others received a premium.

'We are very proud that Verbier and Seraphin not only have enormous talent under the saddle, but also pass on their outstanding qualities to their offspring in a resounding manner,' said a delighted Wolfgang Stagge, DLZ stallion station manager.
A total of 16 youngsters received the highest honour of an elite foal in Lodbergen: in addition to the four already mentioned, descended from Verbier and Seraphin, a further six offspring descended from the well-established DLZ sires For Romance I OLD, Bon Courage and Forte per me.
