There is no escape from the Dujardin suspension
The kid still held on to the reins of her pony after the unflattering departure. When she got up from the ground, the very first thing she did was to whip her pony in the middle of the face.
I am not sure what to think of the one year suspension of multiple Olympic medalist Charlotte Dujardin. I read through a lot of comments on various websites. Even with people arguing both sides of the story, but so do I!
In my mind there’s no chance in hell i.e. Meghan Markle did not know anything about the royal family when clawing1 her way into the life of Prince Harry.
Or any [random famous] man for that matter. You know the ones who end up on the shit list for being caught the very first time EVER [as if] they pay a woman for sex.
There’s also plenty of Harry’s out there who believe the new found woman “of their dreams” doesn’t own a television. Who did not know who they were when they first met, and so on.
Not a chance, they all knew [what they were doing].
They were not innocent bystanders in any kind of way.
Which is why I now draw the very much unscientific conclusion it’s the same way with Dujardin.
Cause I just don’t buy it!
I don’t buy that the very fist time you, according to your own story, whoop a horse like that to improve [?] it’s dressage. You’ll also end up having the misfortune to be filmed, and also reported to the higher powers.
It doesn’t ad up!
Just like pilots!
It was like that kid I watched face plant in cross country some years back in time. The kid still held on to the reins of her pony after the unflattering departure.
When she got up from the ground, the very first thing she did was to whip her pony in the middle of the face.
Just like that!
I watched it happen, another photographer watched it happen, and so did the TD2.
That kid got a lecture of a lifetime.
Me, I went home and wrote a pretty long chronicle on the topic [will see if I can find that original back] where I completely butchered the kid, the trainer, and the parents.
To sum my chronicle up it had a lot to do with lack of common sense. As well as the total lack of horsemanship.
Cause behaviour like that is acting on a reflex, like pilots!
When it comes to pilots we should be glad when they act on a reflex.
The extensive training, and hours pilots sit through in i.e. the flight simulators while working according to checklists, is also what makes them to be able to act on a reflex when shit hits the fan.
Remember the guy who landed in the Hudson River and saved all?
Reflexes!
That was like the ultimate graduation in what extensive training and acting on a reflex means. Same with the high jacked plane that landed on a beach in the Indian Ocean years back in time. Doing this the captain saved a lot of people onboard3.
When it comes down to the way us humans treat horses, the reflexes should never be to whip them. Cause if they are, they are taught.
That kind of reflex is not part of any serious horse training.
These are things that have been taught and practised.
Till that day they end up sitting in the backbone of reflexes. A set of not so flattering reflex actions to pull out when dealing with, and training with the horses.
I don’t approve!
However..
I don’t get the punishment, and in all honesty I cannot argue for either side of this one year ban. One of the main reasons I cannot argue for and or against the length of it, is I don’t feel they ad up!
It feels like some people can get away with just about anything, while others take the fall for like every wrong doing there ever was.
In my personal opinion Charlotte Dujardin seem to fall in to both of the above. I cannot explain why. I just have a hunch something is off in this story. Considering what others have done, and got away with I might ad. This punishment doesn’t seem to sit right in proportion with those other offences.
